Models for Molding:
Most materials that can withstand 400 degrees F can be used as
models for rubber molds
Sterling Silver - Good Easy to repair, retains shape for
multiple molds
Brass - Fair Retains shape, harder to repair than Sterling
Silver, has a build up after multiple molds
White metal/Lead - Poor Could melt and distort, not advised
for multiple molds
Reproductions are 5% smaller than the original model
Minimum thickness: .040/#18 AWG (Gauge)
Models should be fine sanded rather than high polish
